PNPase is a mitochondrial protein with ribonuclease activity. My goal is to elucidate the pathways that are influenced by and serve to influence PNPase. Using RNA interference and overexpression constructs, the role of PNPase in cell growth and death are being examined and related to cancerous transformation.
